Economic Impact COVID-19: Europe

You read reports around the World and apart from Australia and New Zealand it is overrun with this disease.

According to Our World in Data, the total number of new COVID-19 cases being reported globally is 606,000 per day as at 23 November 2021 with Germany accounting for over 68,000, the United Kingdom is at over 42,000 and France is at over 30,000.

Market Metrics: ASX Winners & Losers

Attached is a 1 year performance table to the end of October 2021 for all 2,318 publically listed companies on the ASX (Australian Stock Exchange).

It ranks them in order of highest gain to biggest loss.

The data tells us that that we had 846 opportunities to invest and lose your money while 94 investment opportunities did not make any money or lose any money.

Meaning that 40.6% of all the publically listed companies on the ASX were either loss makers or dud investments over the past 12 months.

Investing is difficult and challenging which is why the smart money seeks to employ the best PMs (Portfolio Managers) that money can buy and their job is simply to find the winners and not invest in the losers.
